PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN

Overview

The Production Technician is an integral part of the manufacturing process as this position is responsible for implementing high-quality cleaning and packaging techniques of medical implants for sterile surgical use and for maintaining strict protocol inside specialized clean rooms.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Independently performs assembly and packaging of components into products in accordance with detailed work instructions.
  • Maintain a sterile or controlled environment by adhering to cleanliness standards, minimizing particle generation and following strict cleanroom protocols, including proper gowning, hand hygiene, and contamination control procedures
  • Utilizes the ERP software to update production orders and to assist with accurate record keeping.
  • Identify and report any deviations, contamination risks, or equipment malfunctions to supervisor
  • Participate in training related to cleanroom procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation
  • Maintain accurate recording of information required using good documentation practices.
  • Conduct routine cleaning and sanitization of work areas, tools, and equipment per established procedures
  • Comply with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, ISO standards)
  • Assists other personnel to best achieve desired results in a cost-effective, safe and timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.



Knowledge / Education / Skills / Experience:

  • Highschool diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal directions in English.
  • Must speak English fluently to communicate questions, errors and production needs effectively, concisely and clearly
  • Ability to perform math problems including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Basic computer skills including data entry into software programs and Excel lists; email experience and basic etiquette
  • Experience with handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment, as well as independently


Physical Abilities:

  • Must have the manual dexterity to perform assembly of small components and operate delicate tools
  • Ability to perform required visual inspection of parts and to read fine print with or without corrective lenses
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds consistently.
  • Must be willing to work in a cleanroom environment
  • Bending, twisting, up/down (Cleaning)

  • Able to complete repetitive work throughout the shift
  • Positive interpersonal skills and professional interactions with coworkers
  • Able to comprehend and follow step-by-step written instructions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity and/or experience with cleanroom policies and procedures
  • Experience in manufacturing quality inspection
  • Software data input experience
  • Computer experience with Outlook and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to conduct an automatic line operation


Working Conditions

  • Indoor facility located next to an active commercial and military airport
  • Air quality-controlled rooms that have strict entry protocol including the use of gowns, masks, gloves, and hair nets
  • Climate-controlled and clean production space and warehouse with very low noise level
  • Sedentary work with extended periods of computer use; alternate between sitting and standing positions
  • No travel required; 100% on-site position
