Job Summary:

• The Janitor will ensure a clean, sanitary, and compliant environment within our 503A/503B pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
• This position is crucial for maintaining both the interior and exterior cleanliness of the premises, contributing to a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all employees and visitors.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of office areas, warehouse, restrooms, break rooms, and meeting rooms.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; dust and wipe down surfaces, including furniture, equipment, and windows.
• Dispose of waste and recycling materials in accordance with facility policies.
• Use approved cleaning agents and techniques to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards, particularly in sensitive areas.
• Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and assist with ordering and restocking as necessary.
• Support the setup and breakdown of areas for meetings and training sessions.
• Respond to urgent cleaning requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and report any malfunctions or needs for repair.
• Ensure that the grounds are well-kept by maintaining cleanliness around the perimeter of the facility.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper handling techniques, especially in a manufacturing context.
• Attention to detail with a strong commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial services, preferably in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Some tasks may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals; appropriate personal protective equipment will be provided.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move objects as required.
• May be required to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods, or performing repetitive movements.
