Account Executive (Early Stage)

High-level overview:
- New role: First dedicated sales hire at VigiLife
- Location: Remote with travel. Preferred in a major metro in the Southeast or Texas (DFW, Houston, Atlanta, Charlotte). Open to remote candidates willing to travel 30–50%.
- Reports to: CEO
- Works closely with: Product Leadership & Marketing
The Role:
This is our first full-time sales hire. You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with product leadership to ensure we sell what we can deliver—and deliver what we sell.
You will own full-cycle sales across:
- Inbound interest
- Partner and event-driven opportunities
- Targeted outbound to defined ICP accounts
This role is both execution and construction, and you will be expected to:
- Close deals as a team member and independently.
- Improve process and repeatability.
- Help define how we scale.
As we grow, this role has the potential to evolve into a sales leadership position.
What You’ll Do
Drive Revenue
- Run full-cycle sales (prospecting → discovery → proposal → close)
- Sell a combination of SaaS platform + wearable hardware + services
- Navigate consultative, trust-based sales cycles
- Identify economic buyers and multi-stakeholder decision processes
- Close pilots and expand into broader deployments
Build Repeatability
- Improve CRM hygiene and pipeline clarity (HubSpot)
- Refine ICP targeting and messaging
- Develop repeatable outbound approaches (thoughtful, not spam-driven)
- Partner with marketing on campaigns, events, and follow-up strategy
- Collaborate with product leadership to align customer feedback with roadmap
Increase Velocity
- Improve time-to-next-step discipline
- Reduce stalled deals
- Increase pilot-to-expansion conversion
- Contribute meaningfully to ARR growth targets
What We’re Looking For
You likely have:
- 3–7+ years of B2B sales experience
- Experience selling SaaS, hardware-enabled solutions, or industrial technology
- Experience selling into operations, safety, construction, manufacturing, utilities, or compliance-driven environments
- Comfort with longer, consultative sales cycles
- Experience working in early-stage or ambiguous environments
- Spanish language proficiency is a strong plus
You are:
- Organized and disciplined in CRM usage
- Thoughtful in outbound (quality > volume)
- Clear and direct in communication
- Strong at qualifying deals early
- Motivated by mission and long-term value creation
- A strong cultural fit for a small, purpose-driven team
Ideal candidates are based near a major metropolitan hub in the Southeast or Texas, including DFW, Houston, Atlanta, or Charlotte. Dayton, Ohio remains our headquarters and is a strong secondary preference.
We are open to remote team members who are positioned for efficient travel and can support client engagement across markets. This role requires approximately 30 to 50 percent travel, so proximity to major airports and business centers is key.

- Strong CRM discipline

- Active ownership of pipeline
- High-quality outbound testing
6 Months
- Independent deal ownership and closing of 1-3+ meaningful deals
- Measurable contribution to new ARR
- Improved pipeline clarity and forecasting confidence
- Reduced founder involvement in early-stage sales steps
12 Months
- Meaningful ARR and pipeline contribution
- Clear case for scaling the GTM function
- Demonstrated ability to influence both revenue and process
Comp plans and equity structures will be aligned to realistic ramp expectations.

Compensation
- Base Salary: $75,000 – $95,000
- On-Target Earnings: $120,000 – $150,000+ (uncapped)
